Session schedule

2026-08-21 to 2026-08-24, split into scheduled play sessions (e.g., Aug 21, 3:00–7:00 a.m. windows in regional time zones). The test was split into scheduled regional sessions — for example the August 21 opening window ran 3:00–7:00 a.m. in regional time zones. Exact slot lists varied per region.

What happened on day one

The first session on August 21 was shut down before effectively starting due to widespread login failures. FromSoftware issued a public apology: server issues prevented players from logging in, and the session was closed. Later sessions in the August 21–24 window proceeded.

What was playable

Closed test on Nintendo Switch 2. Playable content: the Dusk Battle PvPvE mode — 8-player matches in four phases ending in a final showdown (1v1v1 finale reported), a hub area with tutorials, and casual/ranked queues supporting solo or duo. The first session on Aug 21 was canceled due to server login failures; FromSoftware apologized publicly. No player count for the test has been officially published.

How access worked

2026-07-22 to 2026-07-28, via the application page on the official The Duskbloods website; participants selected by lottery from applicants (Nintendo Account required).

What comes next

No second test or open beta has been announced. The realistic next news step is a launch date announcement (the confirmed window is still just "2026") — possibly accompanied by an open test, as FromSoftware has done for previous network tests. Watch the main timeline for updates.
